Thank you for stating the obvious. Teaching children to question their sex and that hating their bodies is normal is not healthy or compassionate. We can be inclusive of gender non-conformists without pretending they have actually changed their sex.

Thank you for a very thoughtful and comprehensive article! Puberty is a necessary process that all human bodies need to go through for full maturation. 80% of gender questioning youth who go through their own puberty will desist and become comfortable with their sex. Wrong sex hormones are incredibly damaging to healthy young bodies, and social transition locks kids into this new identity and makes it very difficult for them to change their mind if it was a mistake. This is all incredibly experimental territory that school staff are not equipped to handle. Let kids be kids and express themselves however they want without labelling them and setting them on a path to becoming medical patients for life!

It is wrong to lie to children if the untruth causes them harm. "Trans kids" are an adult invention arising from adult sexuality. No mammal can change their sex, even with multiple surgeries and unlimited amounts of wrong sex hormones given over many decades. Confirming delusional thinking is not a caring act. Safeguarding is a basic parental duty and failing this is failing our children. https://lucyleader.substack.com/p/what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-parents

Ka rawe HVHS for providing a safe and supportive environment for trans and non-binary students!

All of this would have been wonderful to have at school; it would have explained a lot and prevented me from wasting 10+ years trying to deny I was transgender.

Well done to this school for providing information that helps young people like I was from experiencing the pain and anguish I did.
